Job summary

EDF power solutions North America seeks a High Voltage Specialist to oversee operation, maintenance, repair, and training of BOP and HV equipment for wind, solar, and storage projects.

You will guide site teams, ensure compliance with NEC/NFPA, manage outages, and support North American projects with contractors and suppliers. This role involves travel across the region and leadership opportunities.

Qualifications

• Formal apprenticeship completed or equivalent.
• P.E. in Electrical Engineering accepted in lieu of experience.
• 6+ years in high voltage systems/substations.

Responsibilities

• Instruct, train, and assist site personnel in safe work practices and battery testing.
• Support HV maintenance and troubleshooting across US/Canada/M Mexico; ensure codes and objectives are met.
• Review test reports and document actions; confirm scope and regulatory compliance.
• Be on-site during outages to make decisions on substation maintenance and repairs.
• Direct BOP/HV site specialists in high voltage switching and grounding; approve clearances.
