We are seeking an experienced Senior Human Resource Manager for our Corporate Office location in Dallas, Texas. The Senior HR Manager’s main priority is responsibility for the overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of the human resource function for Loloi. This role will lead the routine functions of the HR department including onboarding/offboarding, leaves of absence, discipline, investigations, training, regulatory compliance, and enforcing policies and practices.

This role will be performed in-person (5 days in-office), full-time, in our Dallas, Texas Corporate headquarters.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with ownership and executives to understand and carry out the HR goals and objectives for the company.
  • Oversee benefits administration, including employee enrollment, education, and ongoing management of health, wellness, and retirement programs (e.g., 401(k)), ensuring accurate payroll integration, compliance reporting, and clear employee communication.
  • Act as the first point of contact for all questions and issues not related to payroll and benefits, which are handled by our Payroll and Benefits team, for both management and employees.
  • Maintain a business-minded approach to human resources when: (1) providing support and guidance on HR issues; (2) addressing issues.
  • Oversee and perform new hire orientation and then employee onboarding and retention efforts.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations, and recommend best practices.
  • Establish, review, modify, and enforce policies and practices to maintain compliance with local, state, and federal laws; advise ownership and management on potential impact and needed actions
  • Advise on employee relations matters, including advising on pre-hire background check results, performance management, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions including terminating employees.
  • Respond to claims of unemployment and represent the company in appeals.
  • Respond to administrative claims of discrimination, harassment, etc.
  • Oversee “non-subscriber” workplace injury claims.
  • Prepare and deliver training on various HR topics.
  • Assist the Talent Acquisition team (e.g., immigration compliance, coordinating with managers for new hires, etc.
  • Assist with workplace safety compliance.
  • Assist with creating and analyzing employee reports and statistics as directed.
  • Supervise warehouse HR staff
  • Demonstrate a high level of ethical conduct and ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive personnel information
  • Other duties as assigned

Experience, Skills, & Ability Requirements:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of state and federal employment-related laws, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Working knowledge of all areas of human resources, with in-depth knowledge of the areas described above in Responsibilities
  • Working knowledge of immigration laws
  • Knowledge of HR systems and databases
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of management, both verbally and in writing, with professionalism and tact.
  • Anticipate issues, risks, and needs, providing proactive guidance to management.
  • Demonstrate strong customer service and the ability to handle difficult conversations.
  • Work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Manage multiple priorities and projects with flexibility and adaptability.
  • Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
  • Identify and analyze problems, assess solutions, and secure stakeholder buy-in.
  • Produce accurate, thorough, and timely work while adhering to policies and procedures.
  • Apply critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Travel as needed for business purposes
  • Skill in using computer and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Employment Law or Labor Relations, Human Resources Management preferred
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of related experience in HR, with more than 5+ years' experience in an HR manager-type role
  • SHRM-CP or SCP or PHR or SPHR certified preferred
