Job summary

Maximus seeks a Senior Human Performance Advisor to serve as a principal technical expert for the POTFF program, guiding readiness, training, policy recommendations and evidence-based support for SOF personnel and their families.

The role requires a U.S. Secret clearance or eligibility, with the position pending contract award. It offers comprehensive benefits and strategic leadership across enterprise HP services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5–7 years of consulting experience in the designated function.
• Master’s degree in a related field with 10+ years experience, including 5+ years in USSOCOM POTFF.
• Certifications/licensure: CSCS, SCCC, PT, CC-AASP, RD or RDN; active state licensure where applicable.
• Experience delivering lectures, multimedia instruction, and training in strength, conditioning, nutrition, and team dynamics.
• Local credentialing if providing clinical care.

Responsibilities

• Function as enterprise-wide technical authority for the POTFF program at HQ USSOCOM.
• Assist domain lead with program oversight for Components, HQ, and TSOCs.
• Perform administrative duties and maintain licensure as time permits.
• Develop oversight and compliance documentation for site visits/inspections.
• Lead strategic planning, policy development, and data integration for readiness.
• Mentor a network of embedded health and performance professionals.
• Create and disseminate advanced training, research, and communications.
• Provide expert consultation to senior leaders across USSOCOM/DoD.
• Champion innovation and evidence-based practices to optimize SOF performance.
• Support well-being of Service Members and families.
