Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Human Centered Design & UX Analyst to drive user research, workflows, and usability for VA Connected Health products. You will work on multiple phases from discovery to validation on a fully remote, US-based team.

The role emphasizes producing artifacts like journeys, personas, and wireframes, applying VA style guides, and ensuring accessibility compliance. A strong portfolio and experience with collaboration tools are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of work experience in HCD, UX or related fields.
• Experience applying human-centered design in professional, internship, or research settings.
• Ability to produce and maintain design artifacts such as journey maps, personas, and wireframes.
• Strong understanding of accessibility (Section 508 / WCAG 2.2) requirements.

Responsibilities

• Supports HCD/HFE studies using interviews, focus groups, observation, and usability testing.
• Translates research findings into actionable recommendations for product teams.
• Maintains HCD artifacts like journey maps, personas, and wireframes.
• Facilitates workshops and collaborates with cross-functional teams to refine design strategies.
