Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking a Sr. Advanced Hardware Design Engineer to lead the development of high-reliability hardware for aerospace applications, including integration with HUD systems. You will work with cross-functional teams, mentor junior engineers, and ensure regulatory compliance across the design lifecycle.

The role is based in Phoenix, AZ with a hybrid work schedule after an initial on-site period; you will mentor peers and contribute to complex programs in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
• U.S. citizenship or permanent residency due to export control and ITAR requirements
• Strong expertise in schematic capture, hardware testing methodologies, and design verification
• In-depth knowledge of analog and digital circuit design, signal integrity, and power management
• Experience with hardware validation, debugging tools, and compliance with aerospace standards

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of advanced hardware systems from concept through production
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define hardware requirements and ensure seamless integration with software and systems engineering
• Perform schematic capture, PCB design support, and comprehensive hardware validation to ensure performance, reliability, and compliance
• Conduct troubleshooting, debugging, and root-cause analysis during development and qualification phases
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and support continuous improvement initiatives
• Interface with internal and external stakeholders to ensure products meet customer and regulatory requirements
• Stay current with emerging hardware technologies and aerospace industry trends to drive innovation in product designs
