Job summary

Ramboll in the Americas is seeking a senior HSEQ leader to oversee Ramboll’s EPC/EPCM project portfolio across the United States. You will establish governance, align contractors, and enable safe delivery of complex construction activities.

The role requires hands-on field experience, strong contractor management, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders while maintaining a focus on risk-based safety execution.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive on-site HSEQ leadership experience with substantial large-scale EPC/EPCM project exposure.
• Strong background supporting multi-contractor, high-risk industrial construction environments.
• Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority.
• Ability to travel regularly to project locations and engage effectively with field teams, project leadership, clients, and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Lead portfolio-wide HSEQ standards and governance across all EPC/EPCM projects.
• Serve as primary HSEQ advisor to Project Directors and EPC/EPCM leadership teams.
• Drive adoption of Ramboll’s HSEQ program and translate its expectations into practical project-level behaviours and controls.
• Provide strategic HSEQ guidance during proposals and contract negotiations to align client expectations and establish the conditions needed for effective safety management.
• Establish standardized HSEQ execution plans across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and turnover.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field
