Job summary

Westlake Chemical Corporation seeks an experienced Health, Safety & Environment leader to develop and oversee HSE strategies across North American sites. You will lead a team of HSE professionals, ensure compliance with OSHA and environmental regulations, and drive risk reduction through data-driven analysis and proactive programs.

The role requires strong policy development, budgeting, and cross-functional collaboration with operations, maintenance, and management.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of OSHA 1910 and OSHA 1926 regulations and related environmental requirements.
• Experience driving change management and policy implementation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, facilitation, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop HSE policies, standards, and operating guidelines for Westlake Business Segments.
• Lead and direct a team of HSE professionals across North America to comply with laws and site requirements.
• Monitor regulatory changes and provide technical analyses to Sr. Management.
• Author HSE procedures and budgets, and manage site activities to regulatory standards.
• Analyze incident data (including near misses) to identify trends and recommend controls.
• Assist operations with health risk assessments and engineering controls for hazards.
