Job summary

Westlake Chemical seeks a safety-focused professional to support incident prevention, OSHA compliance, and hazard analysis across assigned plants. You will coach and train employees, audit facilities, and help implement corrective actions to protect people and assets.

The role emphasizes hands-on safety program development, cross-functional collaboration, and maintaining a strong safety culture with effective communication up and down the organization.

Qualifications

• BS degree in business, environmental or safety management or related field with 1–5 years of experience.
• Knowledge of Federal, State, fire safety, ANSI standards and workers’ compensation laws.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to train others.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing incident prevention and OSHA compliance programs.
• Audit facilities for conformance to safety policies and procedures.
• Develop and deliver safety training for plant personnel at sites.
• Conduct hazard assessments and recommend corrective actions.
• Investigate incidents and manage near misses to drive improvements.
• Collaborate with plant management to enhance safety culture.
