Job summary

Westlake is seeking an experienced Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) leader to independently plan and manage HSE programs for its North America operations. The role focuses on reducing site risk, raising employee awareness, and guiding HSE strategy with Sr.

Management. Responsibilities include developing policies, leading teams of HSE professionals, ensuring compliance with OSHA and environmental regs, conducting data analysis, budgeting, audits, and providing risk assessments.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science, or Chemistry with 10 years of experience.
• Knowledge of OSHA and Environmental regulations.
• Experience with change management and policy implementation.
• Strong facilitation and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and lead teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage HSE policies and operating guidelines.
• Lead HSE teams ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.
• Advise on changes in federal, state, and international regulations.
• Analyze incidents and recommend improvements.
• Prepare replies to audits.
• Manage HSE budgets and strategic plans.
• Provide health risk assessments and engineering controls.
• Serve as expert witness if needed.
• Support continuous improvement of HSE programs.
