Westlake Chemical seeks an HSE Specialist to coordinate site activities ensuring safety program compliance. You will train staff in Risk Control principles and manage recordkeeping and inspections to maintain a healthy, environmentally sound workplace.

The role interfaces with corporate HSE and site leadership. You will develop safety training, assist in incident investigations, maintain KPI programs, and support safety committees.

Qualificações

• Degree in environmental science, occupational health and safety or related field.
• Certification such as CSP or CIH is preferred.
• 1–3 years experience in a manufacturing or safety role.
• Strong communication and organizational skills are required.
• Proven ability to multi-task and be self-motivated.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate site activities for safety program compliance and recordkeeping.
• Train, coach and lead personnel in Risk Control/Risk Reduction methods.
• Ensure compliance with Company, OSHA, Local, State and Federal regulations.
• Maintain safety records and KPI programs for the site.
• Develop safety training and respond to incident reports and investigations.
• Support safety committee activities and root cause analyses.

Formação académica

Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, occupational health and safety, or a related field

CSP or CIH certification preferred

1–3 years of experience in a related field

Strong communication and organizational skills

Ability to multi-task and self-motivate
