Job summary

Ramboll is seeking a senior HSE leader for the Americas portfolio to align HSE planning, governance and resourcing across major projects, including EPC and EPCM delivery models.

You will partner with Project Delivery, procurement, sales and engineering to embed HSE in early business development, tendering and project preparation, ensuring clear responsibilities and escalation paths before execution begins.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Safety Management, Engineering, Environmental Health, Construction Management, or related field.
• Professional HSE certification; CSP preferred or obtainable within timeframe.
• 10+ years of progressive HSE experience, including major projects (EPC/EPCM).
• Understanding of tendering, contracting, procurement, mobilisation, and commissioning in HSE context.
• Ability to influence internal stakeholders across project delivery, procurement, sales, and engineering.
• Experience defining HSE resource needs and scalable organisation models for complex projects.
• Willingness to travel to project and stakeholder locations as required.
• Strong communication, facilitation and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead alignment of HSE expectations and governance for major projects across the Americas (EPC/EPCM).
• Act as senior HSE lead coordinating with Project Delivery, procurement, sales, tender management and engineering.
• Ensure HSE involvement early in business development, tendering and planning before execution.
• Provide strategic HSE input during proposals, contract reviews and delivery planning to define roles and escalation routes.
• Support Portfolio HSE improvements and escalation to Project HSE Managers when needed.
