Job summary

Brown University seeks a Senior HRPP Administrator to lead the HRPP and IRB policies across Brown, Lifespan and Care New England, ensuring compliance with federal regulations, state and local law, policies, and AAHRPP standards while guiding researchers and staff.

The role supports IRB meetings (agendas, materials, minutes) and advises on review criteria, keeping current on regulations and SOPs in a collaborative academic research environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• In-depth understanding of applicable laws, regulations, and policies related to human subjects research, including FDA regulations.
• Experience working in an academic or clinical research setting.

Responsibilities

• Administer and implement HRPP and IRB policies for human subjects research at Brown University, Lifespan, and Care New England.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations and AAHRPP standards.
• Support IRB meetings: prepare agendas and materials, take minutes, advise members on review criteria.
• Maintain knowledge of current regulations, policies and SOPs; collaborate with faculty, staff and students.
