Job summary

Brown University is seeking a Senior HRPP Administrator to lead the administration and implementation of the Human Research Protection Program (HRPP) and IRB policies for Brown University, Lifespan, and Care New England. The role ensures compliance with federal, state, and local laws and AAHRPP standards, coordinating with faculty and staff to review protocols and manage committee activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of related experience.
• In-depth understanding of applicable laws, regulations, and policies related to human subjects research, including FDA regulations.
• Experience working in an academic or clinical research setting.

Responsibilities

• Administers and implements HRPP and IRB policies and procedures for human subjects research at Brown University and affiliated sites.
• Supports IRB Committee meetings—prepares agendas, materials, minutes, and advises on regulations and review criteria.
• Maintains current knowledge of federal, state regulations and institutional policies; guides submissions and protocol reviews.
