Hastings Public Schools is seeking a Supervisor of Human Resources to develop and direct day-to-day HR functions, including hiring, staffing, compensation analysis, benefits administration, and contract administration in alignment with district policies.

The role leads HR staff, ensures regulatory compliance, and supports district-wide employee relations and bargaining processes. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human resources or a closely-related field.
• Two years experience in applicable areas of human resources with supervisory experience.
• Experience in a school district setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs and supervises HR staff and is responsible for their selection, work assignment, training and development.
• Oversees compensation programs, job descriptions, market surveys, and performance management systems.
• Ensures compliance with state and federal laws and timely completion of required reports.
• Leads recruitment efforts and represents the district in labor relations and bargaining negotiations.
