Job summary

Truist Wealth in Charlotte, NC seeks an experienced HR risk governance leader to oversee large governance programs, identify and mitigate HR risks, and ensure regulatory compliance. You will direct processes to monitor, report, and manage HR controls and partner with HR and business teams to embed risk management into daily operations.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, and work-related experience.
• Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in HR risk management and controls or related human resources functions.
• Deep expertise in HR risk frameworks and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to manage large projects independently.

Responsibilities

• Achieve operational targets with impact on HR governance results.
• Direct HR risk identification, assessment, mitigation.
• Develops and manages HR risk processes and procedures.
• Conduct risk analyses, vulnerability assessments, control testing.
• Provide detailed internal and external HR risk reporting.
• Collaborate with HR teams to embed risk practices.
• Advise updates to HR policies and controls per regulation.
• Direct audits and compliance reviews of HR governance.
• Coach HR teams on risk management and compliance.
• Lead continuous improvement of HR governance processes.
• Manage large HR governance projects.
