Job summary

Truist seeks an Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Officer in Charlotte to lead framework design, annual reviews, and governance across the enterprise. You will partner with risk owners to ensure program requirements are understood and executed, while guiding the organization through complex initiatives.

The role emphasizes QA, training, stakeholder communications, and senior leadership materials preparation for internal and regulatory audiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and training.
• Ten+ years of related experience or an equivalent combination.
• Broad and in-depth knowledge within own professional discipline and other related disciplines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; explains complex information clearly.
• Ability to influence others with tact and diplomacy.
• Ability to lead projects of significant complexity and mentor teammates.
• Graduate degree and enterprise risk management experience are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drives design, development, implementation, and oversight of ERM programs to support the Risk Program Owner.
• Supports policy, procedure documentation, training, communication, and oversight activities.
• Executes QA components, testing strategy, outputs, and reporting for leadership and regulators.
• Coordinates with BURMs, BUCROs to ensure ERM requirements are understood and executed.
• Provides thought leadership and mentors within the ERM organization on strategic initiatives.
• Prepares materials for ERM Leadership, Management Committees and regulators.
• Escalates risks associated with ERM program execution to the ERM leadership team.
• Works independently with guidance only in the most complex situations.
