Job summary

The North Carolina Department of Commerce is seeking an Agency HR Consultant I (NS) to provide professional HR consultation and operational support in recruitment, salary administration, HRIS/HCM transactions, and workforce reporting. You will lead recruitment for assigned units and guide managers on strategies, filing, and compliance.

As SME to HR staff, you’ll resolve issues, ensure policy compliance, and collaborate with the classification and compensation teams on salary administration

Qualifications

• Experience with HRIS/Payroll systems and processing personnel actions.
• Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (NEOGOV/Workday).
• Ability to analyze data and advise on salary administration and policies.

Responsibilities

• Lead recruitment for assigned units and advise hiring managers on strategies.
• Handle salary administration and HRIS/HCM transactions and reporting.
• Provide guidance on HR policies and processes to staff and managers.
