Job summary

Grounded Solutions Network in Washington, DC-based headquarters is hiring a Senior HR Specialist to run the day-to-day heartbeat of our people operations, overseeing onboarding, benefits, payroll, performance reviews, and recruitment, while partnering with the Director of Operations & HR on projects that shape growth.

This position reports to the Director of Operations & HR and collaborates with staff across time zones. Experience supporting remote staff is a plus for our national team.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Human Resources professional experience.
• 1+ years of experience in nonprofit organization.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Human Resources and Benefits functions.
• Excellent organizational and administrative skills, including meticulous attention to detail and reliable follow-through.
• Strong written and verbal communication, conflict resolution, and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, and Microsoft Suite; experience with HRIS/PEO software.

Responsibilities

• HR Operations & Administration: administer benefits, leaves, workers’ compensation, and compliance.
• Coordinate recruitment, posting descriptions, screening, interviewing, and offers.
• Lead benefits enrollment communications and training for staff.
• Maintain personnel records, reporting, and audit readiness.
• Support employee relations and performance management programs.
