Job summary

Dover Food Retail in Richmond, VA seeks a Senior Human Resources Business Partner to partner with department leadership, coach frontline managers, and advocate for employees. You will manage staffing, performance reviews, training, onboarding, and investigations while promoting a safe, engaging workplace on the manufacturing floor.

You will build trusted relationships, drive two-way communication, and lead HR process improvements across onboarding, attendance, and retention, supporting the GEMBA

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field is required.
• Minimum five years of experience as HR Specialist/Generalist or comparable role.
• Demonstrated knowledge of employment and labor laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted business partner and coach for frontline leadership.
• Manage staffing for full-time and temporary resources.
• Oversee annual performance management and merit increase processes.
• Coordinate training needs and delivery with department leadership.
• Lead onboarding and exit processes; conduct investigations as needed.
• Promote positive employee relations and two-way communication.
