Job summary

Dover Corp is seeking a Senior Human Resources Business Partner to serve as a trusted partner to department leadership and advocate for frontline employees in Richmond, VA. You will coach leaders, manage staffing and performance processes, drive employee relations, training, onboarding, investigations, and safety culture while spending time on the floor to stay connected with operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field.
• Minimum five (5) years of relevant HR experience as an HR Specialist, Generalist, or comparable role.
• Demonstrated knowledge of employment and labor laws and regulations.
• Three years' experience providing HR administrator/generalist support in a production/manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted business partner and coach for frontline leadership.
• Observe and provide feedback to leaders on communication, priorities, resources, and accountability.
• Manage staffing for full-time and temporary resources.
• Oversee annual performance management and merit increase processes.
• Partner with leadership on training needs and coordinate/drive training.
• Manage onboarding and exit processes.
• Conduct investigations on employee complaints and policy concerns.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve employee relations and communication.
• Be a visible presence and floor-level advocate for front-line employees; support 2-way communication.
• Lead HR process improvement initiatives and ensure consistent HR processes across onboarding, staffing and attendance.
• Cross-train with HR Administrator as emergency backup.
• Demonstrate knowledge of recruitment, labor relations, payroll, compensation and benefits.
