Job summary

Dover Food Retail is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to work onsite in Richmond, VA. You will partner with department leaders to attract, develop and retain talent, drive a positive employee relations culture, and support safety initiatives across the site.

You will manage staffing, performance management, onboarding, and employee investigations while acting as a trusted advocate for front-line employees and leaders. Flexible hours may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in human resources or related field.
• Minimum one year of relevant HR experience as an HR Specialist, Generalist, or comparable role.

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted business partner and coach for frontline leadership.
• Observe and provide feedback to leaders on communication priorities and resource needs.
• Manage staffing for full-time and temporary resources.
• Oversee annual performance management and merit increase processes.
• Partner with leadership to identify training needs and coordinate delivery.
• Manage onboarding and exit processes.
• Conduct investigations related to policy violations and employee concerns.
• Promote two-way communication and positive employee relations.
• Be a visible presence on the floor and participate in GEMBA walks and Kaizens.
