Job summary

Neurocrine Biosciences in San Diego, CA, seeks an HR Operations professional to execute, support and enhance HR processes, systems and programs across the employee and contingent workforce lifecycle, including onboarding, changes, extensions, offboarding and related system activities.

You will collaborate with HR, Legal, IT and vendors to identify improvements, translate system functionality into guidance, and audit Workday and VNDLY data to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 4+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably within HR operations or HR systems.
• Experience with Workday and VNDLY or similar VMS platforms.
• Experience supporting contingent workforce processes and vendor interactions.
• Strong problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Execute, coordinate and improve HR operational processes across the employee and contingent worker lifecycle, including onboarding, worker changes, extensions, offboarding, and related system activities.
• Identify process gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement; evaluate alternatives and implement practical solutions that improve accuracy, consistency, compliance, and the user experience.
• Serve as a subject matter resource for HR systems with focus on Workday, VNDLY, contingent workforce management, and related technology.
• Translate system functionality, integrations, and process requirements into clear, understandable guidance for HR partners, managers, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to evaluate business and system requirements, resolve moderately complex operational issues, and support system and process enhancements.
• Conduct regular audits of worker data in Workday and VNDLY, resolving discrepancies and addressing root causes to maintain data integrity.
• Support adherence to established contingent workforce compliance requirements and processes, including assignment tenure limits, worker classification, and co-employment considerations, in partnership with Legal.
• Support system integrations and data flows between HR and business applications through requirements gathering, testing, issue identification, documentation, and implementation activities.
• Independently manage assigned HR operations and process improvement initiatives from problem identification through implementation, proactively identifying dependencies, risks, and next steps and coordinating with appropriate partners to resolve issues and achieve objectives.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, standard operating procedures, job aids, training materials, workflows, and other resources that support consistent execution and adoption.
