Job summary

Nth Generation Computing is seeking an experienced Benefits/HR Specialist in San Diego to administer employee benefits programs, act as the primary benefit contact, and support payroll backup. The role leverages ADP Workforce Now and aligns with our culture of ethics, growth, and client service.

The position includes managing open enrollment, benefits communications, and collaboration with payroll, accounting, and providers to ensure compliant, efficient administration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, finance, or related field.
• 5+ years in benefits and HR administration with HRIS experience.
• Advanced proficiency in ADP Workforce Now preferred.
• Experience reconciling benefit and payroll data and producing reports.
• Experience supporting open enrollment, leave administration, vendor files, and inquiries.
• HR certification preferred (SHRM-CP, PHR) but not required.

Responsibilities

• Administers employee benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, life, 401(k), HSAs, FSAs.
• Manages annual open enrollment configuration, testing, and communications.
• Provides responsive employee support regarding eligibility, enrollment, and claims.
• Acts as liaison among employees, providers, payroll, and accounting to resolve issues.
• Develops relationships with employees and communicates benefit options.
• Coordinates COBRA events and leave of absence processes.
• Supports compliance activities for ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, 125, and filings.
• Performs HRIS and payroll backup duties as needed.
