Job summary

HAVERHILL in Warren, Rhode Island, is seeking an HR Manager reporting to the CEO. You will own benefits, leave, employee relations, and discipline, while also managing facilities and regulatory compliance for the manufacturing site with about 45 employees in one building.

This is a hands-on, on-site role: you’ll run open enrollment in person, handle state and federal leave programs, unemployment and workers’ comp, onboarding and offboarding, and coordinate hiring while keeping records accurate

Qualifications

• Ten or more years of progressive HR generalist or HR management experience.
• Has personally run open enrollment end to end.
• Experience handling employee relations matters through to resolution, including investigations and separations.
• Current knowledge of RI, CT and NY employment law including TDI, TCI and paid sick/ safe leave.
• Manufacturing/hourly workforce experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own HR for HAVERHILL including benefits, leave, employee relations, and discipline.
• Own facilities and business compliance; monitor licensing and deadlines.
• Run open enrollment in person and in two languages; ensure every eligible employee is enrolled or waived before the deadline.
• Administer all leave across RI, CT, NY with compliance to programs.
• Coordinate unemployment and workers' compensation claims with Finance and manage hearings.
• Oversee onboarding, offboarding, and employee records; coordinate hiring processes with managers.
• Manage temporary staffing agency relationships and forecast seasonal staffing needs.
