Job summary

Wayne Farms LLC is seeking an experienced Human Resources Leader in Tennessee to guide staffing, employee relations, training, and salary administration at a plant and complex locations. The role combines strategic oversight with hands‑on implementation to ensure legal and company policy compliance.

You will drive recruitment, performance management, and change initiatives, mentor teams, and partner with internal departments to improve processes and engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources or related field.
• Combination of education and experience may substitute for degree.
• Minimum five (5) years’ progressive human resources experience; preferred experience.
• Minimum one (1) year experience in a manufacturing or similar environment.
• Strong leadership experience including knowledge of timekeeping requirements, policy adherence, conflict resolution and the ability to resolve issues efficiently and effectively.
• Must have the ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbal and written, with internal and external customers in a timely and professional manner; ability to communicate in multiple languages preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize.
• Ability to work effectively with others, possessing tact and discretion and demonstrate a high level of confidentiality in all matters.
• Must have strong computer skills: MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook; experience within HCM system such as Workday preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction to the HR team to ensure HR initiatives are implemented and maintained in support of company objectives.
• Provide coaching and guidance to leaders and front line personnel on conflict resolution while complying with laws and company guidelines.
• Drive recruitment, selection, and succession planning strategies for internal customers.
• Manage salaried recruiting process including sourcing and screening candidates and coordinating interviews.
• Initiate job offers for successful candidates and ensure HR-generated letters are signed and uploaded in Workday.
• Provide HR-related training on performance counseling and employee relations issues.
• Counsel and guide managers on performance management measures and corrective action documentation.
• Lead initiatives around engagement, diversity, talent management, training, and change management.
• Mentor and train employees, providing feedback on strengths and areas for improvement.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
• Understand and ensure compliance with union agreements and address grievances as needed.
• Follow and promote safety initiatives and PPE usage.
