Job summary

Oahu Transit Services in Honolulu, HI is seeking an experienced Human Resources Leave & Accommodations Manager to oversee leave and workers' compensation programs. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with at least ten years HR experience.
• Minimum five years of management-level HR experience supervising staff.
• Minimum five years managing leave administration and workers' compensation.

Responsibilities

• Lead administration of protected leave and workers' compensation programs for compliance with laws and policies.
• Supervise HR Specialists supporting leave administration and ensure timely case management.
• Manage complex cases: eligibility, accommodations, claims status, return-to-work plans.
• Serve as liaison with third-party administrators, insurers, and medical providers.
• Lead interactive process and accommodations with employees, management, safety, and union reps.
• Coordinate return-to-work and modified duty programs to support recovery.
• Ensure accurate tracking and reporting in HRIS and case management systems; conduct audits.
• Provide guidance and training to supervisors and employees on leave and workers' comp.
• Support audits, grievances, and regulatory inquiries related to leave and workers' comp.
• Assist in policy reviews and updates; recruit and supervise HR staff in related programs.
