Job summary

Massachusetts Port Authority in Boston is seeking a Leave and Accommodations Manager to lead our leave of absence and workplace accommodations programs with a people-first approach. You will guide employees, managers, HR partners, Labor Relations, Legal, and leadership through complex leave, accommodations, and attendance matters while protecting confidential information.

This role emphasizes compliance, proactive risk management, and continuous program improvement to strengthen the employee

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR or related field; equivalent experience accepted.
• 5-7 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3 years administering leave and accommodation programs.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws, leave administration, employee relations, HR systems, compliance, and collective bargaining agreements.
• Excellent judgment, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills with discretion in sensitive matters.

Responsibilities

• Lead Massport’s leave of absence and workplace accommodations programs with a people-first approach.
• Serve as trusted advisor to employees, managers, HR, Labor Relations, Legal, and leadership on complex leave and accommodation matters.
• Identify and mitigate compliance, legal, and operational risk through proactive case management and data analysis.
• Drive continuous improvement by evaluating program effectiveness and updating policies and training.
