Job description

We are seeking an experienced leave and accommodation professional to help design, launch, and grow this capability within an evolving Employee Relations Center of Excellence. Working closely with the Senior Employee Relations Manager, you will meaningfully influence how the work is designed and delivered, from the service model, workflows, forms, and toolkits to implementation, education, and continuous improvement. You will also personally guide employees and leaders through complex and sensitive matters across a multijurisdictional workforce.

Position Details
  • Help shape the operating model, including processes, roles, decision points, stakeholder handoffs, measures, and escalation paths.
  • Design and implement practical workflows, forms, notices, toolkits, procedures, reports, quality controls, educational resources, and Workday solutions.
  • Lead communication, implementation, stakeholder readiness, and education for approved processes, tools, and technology.
  • Administer complex time-away-from-work and workplace accommodation matters, identify risk, evaluate program effectiveness, recommend improvements, and upscale sensitive or uncertain matters before action is finalized.
  • Personally manage complex leave and accommodation cases from intake through return to work or closure, while identifying risk, evaluating program effectiveness, improving processes, and escalating sensitive or uncertain matters before action is finalized.
Qualifications
  • 7-10 years of progressive experience in leave administration, workplace accommodations, benefits, employee relations, Human Resources compliance, or a related function, with at least 3 years of experience in a leave and accommodations role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or a related field preferred; certifications in leaves and accommodations are a plus.
  • Experience building, improving, or centralizing a leave, accommodation, or related Human Resources program or service model.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, California, and other state and local leave and accommodation requirements, including FMLA, CFRA, ADA, FEHA, PWFA, USERRA, confidentiality, and return-to-work practices.
  • Sound judgment, empathy, discretion, communication, and case management discipline, with the ability to move between program development, stakeholder education, and detailed case work.
  • A hands-on working style and the ability to move comfortably between building the program, supporting employees and leaders, and managing the detailed case work required to deliver it.
Benefits
