Clockwork.io in Palo Alto is seeking a Senior HR Manager to own the full HR lifecycle in a high-growth environment. You will partner with the executive team to shape culture, policies, and infrastructure for US and UK teams.

Responsibilities include end-to-end HR operations, payroll/benefits with a PEO, policy design, compensation benchmarking, onboarding, and manager development. You will ensure legal compliance across federal, California, and UK law, and help scale our people function as

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years HR experience in high-growth startup environments
• Ability to design and build HR programs from scratch
• Deep knowledge of California and U.S. employment law; UK knowledge is a strong plus
• Hands-on experience with compensation benchmarking, benefits administration, employee relations, performance management, and onboarding
• Familiarity with employment-based immigration processes (H-1B, PERM, etc.)
• Experience working with PEOs and HRIS systems (e.g., Rippling, Gusto, BambooHR)

Responsabilités

• Own end-to-end HR operations: onboarding, offboarding, employee lifecycle management, and HRIS administration.
• Partner with our PEO for payroll, benefits administration, and HR compliance.
• Serve as primary contact for employee relations, resolving issues with empathy and fairness.
• Design, implement, and improve HR policies, handbooks, and scalable processes.
• Lead compensation benchmarking, benefits strategy, and rewards programs to stay competitive.
• Build onboarding, training, and manager development programs aligned with company values.
• Ensure compliance with federal, California, and UK employment laws and regulations.
• Oversee immigration programs (H‑1B, green cards) with outside counsel.
• Partner with leadership on workforce planning, org design, and headcount strategy.
