Job summary

Scale Computing is seeking two Senior Managers, People Operations to partner with office and remote teams and own one company-wide program. You will lead site partnerships, employee relations, recruiting, performance cycles, and AI-enabled improvements to People processes.

You will own Paylocity and the broader People tech ecosystem, create reliable employee data sources, and collaborate with Finance on headcount reporting while supporting growth through acquisitions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of HR experience, including 3–4 years as a hands‑on HR generalist.
• Broad working knowledge across multiple HR areas, not a single specialty.
• Full‑cycle recruiting experience, including technical roles.
• Proven track record building an HR program, process, or system from scratch.
• Hands‑on depth in HRIS administration and/or people analytics, or running recruiting.
• Strong knowledge of US employment law and employee relations.
• Ability to advise senior leaders and handle sensitive matters.
• Comfort operating with autonomy in a fast‑moving environment.
• Curiosity about AI, automation, and People technology.
• Experience in private‑equity‑backed, post‑merger, or high‑growth company preferred.
• Experience supporting a global or multi‑country workforce preferred.
• Paylocity experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with managers and employees in your office and remote teams to drive HR programs.
• Coach managers on performance, structure, and difficult conversations.
• Resolve employee relations matters up to director level; escalate higher issues to CPO.
• Own full‑cycle recruiting for roles up to VP level and some hard tech hires.
• Deliver merit, performance, and promotion cycles with established frameworks.
• Identify automation opportunities and build AI‑enabled workflows for People ops.
• Own HRIS & data ecosystems, with reliable employee data across acquired businesses.
• Build People reporting and partner with Finance on headcount reporting.
• Support payroll/benefits data accuracy with global payroll lead.
• Train hiring managers and manage search firms for VP/tech roles.
