Job summary

Figure AI, an AI robotics company based in San Jose, is seeking a senior People Operations leader to own HR operations end-to-end. You will manage the HR platforms, leaves, accommodations, and compliance for our hourly workforce.

You will configure and optimize the People tech stack, partner with benefits brokers, and drive continuous improvement across payroll, timekeeping, and data governance. This role requires deep knowledge of CA employment law and multi-state payroll processes.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of progressive People Operations experience in a high-growth tech/robotics environment.
• Deep experience configuring workflows, permissions, and integrations for HR systems.
• Direct experience partnering with benefits brokers/platforms and leading Open Enrollment.
• Strong knowledge of California employment law and FLSA classifications.
• Experience supporting hourly/workforce and multi-state payroll.

Responsibilities

• Own the employee lifecycle end-to-end (onboarding, job changes, offboarding, records, verifications).
• Audit and elevate the employee experience, reducing operational friction at scale.
• Serve as a trusted HR point of contact, resolving inquiries within SLAs and handling escalations.
• Manage leaves and accommodation processes, including return-to-work logistics.
• Oversee payroll and benefits for exempt and non-exempt teams, ensuring accurate final pay and adjustments.
• Administer HRIS, timekeeping, ticketing systems, and data governance.
