Job summary

Highmark Health is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead cross-functional HR initiatives within the HR PMO. You will drive planning and delivery across HR, HR Technology, Operations, Finance, and IT, coordinating with vendors and executives to achieve measurable business outcomes.

You will balance competing priorities, manage risks, and guide multi-stakeholder teams to ensure programs are delivered on time and on budget, including enterprise-wide HR transformations and complex integrations.

Qualifications

• 5 years in Project Management.
• 5 years delivering business solutions using information technology.
• Experience managing enterprise-wide HR, operations, technology, or transformation initiatives.
• Experience supporting executive leadership priorities and strategic organizational initiatives.
• Experience with mergers, acquisitions, integrations, divestitures, or workforce transitions.
• Understanding of project management methodologies including Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid delivery approaches.
• Experience managing vendor relationships and third-party implementation partners.
• Strong business acumen with demonstrated ability to connect project execution to organizational strategy and business outcomes.
• Experience managing complex projects involving multiple stakeholder groups, significant dependencies, and organizational impact.
• Experience leading matrixed teams without direct supervisory authority.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a project leader for the definition, planning, and delivery of multiple large-scale product and technology projects.
• Receive high risk, visible efforts, must take a lead role in the successful delivery and implementation of cross-functional activities.
• Drive the day-to-day operation of projects (including budgetary oversight and staffing) ensuring on-time delivery and quality.
• Collaborate with all project stakeholders to proactively identify and mitigate project risks.
• Determine communication strategies and execute those to provide accurate and timely project information.
• Summarize and present complex ideas and data in an understandable format for all levels.
• Cultivate a customer-first attitude by understanding needs and impacts of decisions.
• Other duties as assigned or requested.
