Senior HR Generalist: Onboarding, Engagement & Compliance

Job summary

AM General LLC seeks an experienced HR Generalist to manage salaried onboarding at Indiana locations and remote sites, maintain records, and administer I-9s and background checks.

You will coordinate with Talent Acquisition, handle HRIS data entry for promotions and changes, and ensure strict compliance with employment laws while supporting multiple local sites and the internship program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR or organizational management preferred; high school diploma or GED required.
• 5 years of current experience in a Human Resources role in a professional organization or corporate environment.
• 3+ years' experience with an HRIS system - UKG, UltiPro or Kronos preferred.
• Working knowledge of social networks such as LinkedIn and/or job posting sites.
• Experience in full lifecycle recruiting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, including Excel, and video conferencing technology.
• Must handle extremely confidential information with professionalism, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Assist with creating training content and development.

Responsibilities

• Manage salaried new hire onboarding at IN locations and remote as needed.
• Manage employee badge system
• I-9 verifications
• Coordinate background checks and drug screening for IN with manager & candidate
• Coordinate with HR support staff to process and maintain employment records
• Assist with coordinating the site Internship Program with Talent Acquisition
• Maintain employee records and HRIS data for salaried personnel
• Ensure input of data for promotions, changes and terminations
• Travel to multiple local sites as needed
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies
• Handle disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations
