Job summary

The Regents of the University of California—Los Angeles Campus is seeking a Senior HR Generalist to provide comprehensive HR and payroll support across SEIS. You will independently manage staff actions, monitor payroll data, and ensure policy compliance, while delivering high-quality service to faculty and staff.

Primary on-site work is required with a minimum of two days per week in the office, and collaboration with campus partners to optimize recruitment, onboarding, and benefits

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Advanced knowledge of University Personnel and Payroll policies and UC systems.
• Experience with staff appointments, promotions, and changes in titles.
• Strong writing/editing skills and MS Word/PowerPoint/Excel proficiency.
• Ability to interpret policies, manage deadlines, and handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Administer the full lifecycle of staff personnel actions (appointments, changes, separations, leaves).
• Advise on recruitment strategy, onboarding, and payroll processes for SEIS units.
• Monitor workforce and payroll transactions for compliance with UC policies.
• Collaborate with Campus HR, Compensation, ER, and other stakeholders to resolve issues.
