Job summary

UCLA Life Sciences Division seeks a Senior Academic Payroll Analyst to independently manage payroll actions for faculty and academics across seven departments and related programs. You will analyze transactions, coordinate actions, and ensure compliance using UCPath and campus systems.

The role requires strong knowledge of UCAcademic Personnel policies, online payroll processes, and the ability to balance multiple projects while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years in an administrative department with Academic personnel and payroll responsibilities.
• Advanced knowledge of University Academic Personnel and Payroll policies, procedures, and organizational structure.
• Experience with online payroll systems and forms for academic transactions.
• Knowledge of UCLA CALL and APM policies is preferred.
• Proficiency with UCPath and campus tools for payroll support.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with analytical problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate payroll and personnel actions across biology units.
• Maintain electronic personnel records and sabbatical tracking.
• Process special compensation actions and funding entries.
• Resolve payroll/benefits issues and serve as UCPath subject matter expert.
• Advise department chairs and academic personnel analysts on policies.
