Job summary

Ashley Furniture is seeking a Senior Human Resources Generalist to support HR needs across our California operations. You’ll handle employee and labor relations, performance management, policy implementation, coaching, mentoring and onboarding, with frequent engagement with employees.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1st shift. Requirements include 3+ years HR experience, a Bachelor's in HR, Business Administration or related field, and PHR or SHRM-CP preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of HR experience including employee relations
• Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business Administration or related field, or equivalent work experience
• PHR or SHRM-CP preferred
• Knowledge of State and Federal employment laws, basic OSHA safety practices and procedures and employee relations principles
• Positive attitude and hunger for improvement

Responsibilities

• Handle HR needs of supported business units and implement best practices to support corporate objectives
• Dive into HR responsibilities including employee and labor relations, performance management, policy implementation, coaching and mentoring, and onboarding
• Engage with employees through feedback meetings and coaching supervisors
• Facilitate company training and contribute to HR initiatives
