Job summary

Life Fitness / Hammer Strength in Rosemont, IL is seeking a Sr. Human Resources Coordinator. You will oversee payroll, coordinate talent acquisition and onboarding, administer benefits, and maintain HR systems while ensuring data accuracy and regulatory compliance.

You will collaborate with HR, Finance, and external providers in a hybrid role, with in-office days Tue-Thu and remote on other days. A 3-4 year HR background and Bachelor's degree are required.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years’ experience in human resources, including payroll.
• Bachelor’s degree in HR or other related field, or equivalent combination.
• Intermediate knowledge of HR processes and employment regulations.
• Very high level of customer service orientation.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Payroll Administration: liaise with third-party payroll provider, manage time collection, status changes, deductions, and year-end activities.
• Talent Acquisition: coordinate interviews, travel, communications, offers, and recruitment reporting.
• Onboarding & Orientation: coordinate new hire onboarding and ensure required paperwork.
• Benefits Administration: assist with enrollment, life events, benefits documentation, open enrollment, vendor coordination.
• HR Systems & Data Management: maintain records in Workday and UKG, run audits and HR metrics reports.
• Employee Support & HR Operations: respond to policy inquiries, support programs, events, and communications.
