Total Wine & More in Bethesda, MD, seeks a Senior Manager, Compliance to lead our HR Compliance program, develop policies, and oversee regulatory adherence across the organization. You will drive program improvements, train staff, and align practices with federal, state, and local requirements.

The role involves audits, monitoring metrics, and partnering with HR and legal to ensure wage-hour compliance, payroll accuracy, employment classifications, and transparent reporting. Reports to the Sr.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Law or related field.
• 7–10 years of experience in HR compliance.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• CRCMP/CCEP/CRCM certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage compliance programs meeting laws and regulations.
• Liaise with regulatory agencies.
• Lead risk monitoring framework and cross-functional policy reviews.
• Conduct regular compliance audits and report findings to senior leadership.
• Oversee HR-related government reporting and pay transparency.
• Provide interpretation of People regulations to HR and business partners.
• Partner with internal legal counsel on escalated topics.
