Total Wine & More in Bethesda, MD is seeking a Senior Manager, Compliance to lead HR compliance programs and policy oversight across the organization. You will develop, implement, and monitor programs, conduct audits, and work with regulatory agencies while guiding cross‑functional teams on wage/hour, payroll compliance, and employment classifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred with equivalent years of experience in HR compliance.
• 7–10 years experience in HR compliance preferred.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage compliance programs to ensure adherence to relevant laws and regulations.
• Develop, review, process and approve Workday attestation and legal documentation.
• Act as a liaison between the organization and regulatory agencies.
• Develop the framework and strategic planning for a risk monitoring program.
• Support business continuity through cross functional policy reviews and revisions to compliance programs.
• Stay up to date on industry regulations and ensure policies reflect current standards.
• Draft and develop HR policies and provide adjustments as needed.
• Conduct regular compliance audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement.
• Monitor and report on compliance metrics and address issues to senior leadership.
• Develop workforce programs within People to ensure compliance with government programs and reporting (EEO, pay transparency).
• Provide interpretation of People regulations to HR and business partners.
