Job summary

Amentum is seeking an experienced Lead HR Business Partner to support NASA's Johnson Space Center. You will serve as the primary HR partner for 300 employees across JSC, Sonny Carter Training Facility, and Ellington Field, guiding employee and labor relations, compliance, and HR programs.

You will lead investigations, advise managers, ensure policy consistency, and drive engagement while partnering with leadership, employees, and union representatives in a complex, high-stakes environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as Lead HR Business Partner or comparable role in government/contracting settings.
• Proven ability to manage employee and labor relations within a union-represented workforce.
• Strong knowledge of compliance with employment regulations and collective bargaining agreements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and lead employee relations investigations, addressing workplace concerns and disciplinary actions.
• Advise supervisors on performance management, coaching, corrective actions, and conflict resolution.
• Ensure consistent application of policies and employment practices across Johnson Space Center facilities.
• Prepare investigation documentation, findings, and corrective action plans.
• Promote a positive work environment through proactive employee engagement initiatives.
• Support labor relations, contract compliance, grievance handling, and cooperative labor management.
• Interpret and administer CBA provisions and maintain productive relationships with union representatives.
• Assist full-cycle recruitment for exempt and non-exempt roles, and support onboarding processes.
• Coordinate workforce planning, talent management, promotions, and employee transfers.
