Job summary

Amentum seeks an experienced Lead HR Business Partner to support the Facilities Sustainment Services Contract at NASA Johnson Space Center. You will serve as the primary HR partner for 300 employees across JSC, the Sonny Carter Training Facility, and Ellington Field, delivering strategic and hands-on HR leadership.

Responsibilities include employee and labor relations, recruitment, workforce planning, performance management, training, compliance, and HR operations, with a focus on union

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Industrial Relations, or related field.
• 6-8 years of progressive HR experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
• Experience in employee relations, including investigations and complex issues.
• Labor relations experience with a unionized workforce.
• Experience interpreting and administering Collective Bargaining Agreements.
• Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR compliance.
• Experience supporting recruitment, workforce planning, onboarding, development, performance management, and HR operations.
• Strong communication, coaching, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong customer service.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS.

Responsibilities

• Lead employee relations investigations and advise on performance, coaching, corrective actions, and conflict resolution.
• Advise leadership on labor relations matters and contract compliance; support grievance handling and investigations.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, workforce planning, promotions, and employee transfers.
• Deliver training on policies, compliance topics, and HR programs; communicate HR updates.
• Assist with day-to-day HR operations, records, HRIS data, and reporting.
• Serve as trusted HR advisor to managers and employees on policies and workforce planning.
• Support implementation of strategic HR initiatives and organizational change.
