Job summary

SpringHill Suites Greensboro is seeking a Maintenance Lead to supervise and coordinate electrical, mechanical, and architectural systems across the hotel. This working manager role splits time between training staff and performing regular maintenance tasks to ensure safety, efficiency, and guest satisfaction.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, self-motivated, and capable of motivating others while delivering timely maintenance and guest-focused service in a fast-paced hotel

Qualifications

• Interpret electrical, mechanical, building blueprints/schematics.
• Analyse electrical/mechanical systems and performance.
• Broad knowledge of construction and building systems.
• 5 years in hospitality maintenance environment (school + hands-on).
• Experience in stationary engineering, plumbing, HVAC, and related equipment.
• EPA universal and CPO certifications preferred or achievable after hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead Engineer supervising electrical, mechanical and general maintenance across hotel facilities.
• Assigns and verifies routine maintenance of building, HVAC, and utilities.
• Performs carpentry, plumbing, painting, masonry tasks as needed.
• Inspects workmanship and directs team and contractors to standards.
• Liaises with city officials to maintain permits and fire safety compliance.
• Reviews and coordinates vendor product initiatives to reduce costs.
• Completes work orders within required timeframes.
• Replaces worn parts and conducts equipment maintenance.
• May assist with pool and spa maintenance per regulations.
• Maintains preventative maintenance schedules and logs.
• Assists departments with moving furniture and stocking supplies.
• Maintains positive relationships with customers and contractors.
• Responds to guest requests and escalates issues when needed.
