Job summary

StepStone Hospitality seeks a Chief Engineer to lead maintenance operations at Homewood Suites by Hilton Pittsburgh Southpointe. You will oversee refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and life safety while guiding a team and ensuring guest comfort and hotel performance.

The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, budget control, and cross-department coordination to deliver exceptional service and safe facilities.

Qualifications

• Must have a comprehensive knowledge of all hotel departments and functions.
• Must have comprehensive knowledge of applicable Federal, state, and local health, safety, and legal regulations.
• High school education and/or technical training; additional education preferred.
• CPR training required; first aid training preferred.
• Occasional travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance operations for the hotel, including refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment, and safety systems.
• Supervise associates including hiring, discipline, development, and evaluations.
• Ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications.
• Develop and maintain a preventive maintenance program per brand standards.
• Maintain guest service quality and maximize profitability for the guest services department.
• Coordinate with other departments to align activities and schedules.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, fire safety, and local building codes; maintain life safety systems.
• Prepare and review statistical reports and presentations as needed.
