Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to perform basic to advanced repairs across hospital campuses. You will maintain buildings and equipment, support renovations, and ensure safety while using hand and power tools.

Reading blueprints and timely record-keeping are essential. Requires 4+ years in maintenance or construction, a high school diploma (technical training preferred), and a MA driver’s license with a special operator’s license due within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent with Technical School training preferred.
• Minimum 4 years previous general maintenance or construction work.
• Knowledge of healthcare setting and ability to read blueprints or schematic drawings desirable.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Independently performs basic and advanced repairs from start to finish in a timely manner using the automated Maintenance Request System.
• Acting as part of a team, demonstrates knowledge of tasks and assists at all campuses.
• Safely use all hand and power tools and testing equipment needed for repairs.
• Reads blueprints or schematics and performs duties with minimal supervision.
• Performs campus-specific duties and sets priorities.
• Assist in record keeping and close out work orders accurately and timely.
