Job summary

UCI Health is seeking a Senior Cook to design and implement upscale, culturally diverse menus for patient care, retail operations, and catered events. You will prepare, season, and cook from scratch, following recipes and health guidelines in a safe, sanitary kitchen.

Responsibilities include cost control, proper storage, and strict adherence to sanitation standards, with rotating shifts including nights and weekends across campus dining facilities.

Qualifications

• Verbal and written communication in English; active listening and time management.
• Skill in various cooking techniques with ability to follow recipes and diets.
• Previous cook experience in main kitchen or cafeteria.
• Customer service skills appropriate to the job.
• Knowledge of cooking terminology, weights, and measures.
