Job summary

Under general supervision, you will manage food preparation, cost control, storage, and compliance with JCAHO and UC policies while delivering high-quality dining experiences across hospital operations.

Qualifications

• Fluent English communication and good written skills.
• Proficient in various cooking techniques and following recipes for regular and therapeutic diets.
• Prior experience as a cook in a main kitchen or cafeteria.
• Strong customer service and ability to work with a diverse patient population.
• Willingness to work alternate schedules, days/nights, weekends and holidays.
• Knowledge of cooking terminology, weights and measures to adjust recipes.
• Ability to maintain a steady work pace and collaborate across a health system.
