Job summary

This role oversees hiring, training, coaching, and evaluating staff, manages EPIC In Basket activity, and ensures timely HIM processing and reporting across ambulatory pediatric clinics.

The position emphasizes supervision, policy development, and collaboration with HR, with a 40-hour work week and day shifts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s (or equivalency) with up to 2 years of directly related work experience or a master’s (or equivalency) degree.
• Experience supervising or leading teams in HIM , referrals, scheduling, revenue cycle, prior authorization, patient access, or clinical support staff.
• Experience utilizing EPIC for workflows, work queues, and In Basket management.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily HIM operations including staffing, work queues, evaluating performance, coaching and training staff.
• Resolve HIM issues, monitor patient access and escalated staff or provider concerns.
• Maintain department records and prepare monthly HIM reports and metrics.
• Utilize EPIC to monitor department workflows and In Basket activity.
• Participate in departmental, interdisciplinary, and organizational committees/meetings.
