Job summary

Johns Hopkins Medicine is seeking a Site Manager, HIM Operations to provide daily operational leadership for the HIM Department across hospital settings. The role requires ensuring staffing aligns with workload, setting performance expectations, and managing timekeeping and annual reviews.

You will act as the HIM representative at leadership meetings and oversee Joint Commission/state surveys, ROI, scanning, and record audits within a complex multi-hospital system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management preferred, or equivalent HIM leadership experience.
• RHIT/RHIA certification required or preferred; track options described during selection.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily operational leadership for the HIM Department across one or more hospitals.
• Plan staffing, schedules, and monitor performance/quality.
• Oversee timekeeping, attendance, and annual reviews.
• Represent HIM in hospital leadership meetings and manage Joint Commission/state surveys.
• Oversee scanning, ROI, deficiency management and record integrity audits.
• Ensure compliance with federal/state regulations and Joint Commission standards.
• Coordinate forms management and alignment with scanning operations.
