Job summary
KPIT is seeking a Senior Automotive Embedded Software Engineer to develop, configure, and test embedded software stacks, diagnostics, and vehicle communication protocols for next-generation architectures. You will work on HIL benches for SDV/ECU validation, debug integration, and ensure adherence to SDV processes and safety standards.
Ideal candidates have a strong foundation in embedded systems and automotive ECUs, with exposure to Linux and scripting in C/Python/CAPL/MATLAB.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field.
- Basic understanding of embedded systems and automotive ECUs.
- Familiarity with at least one automotive communication protocol: LIN / FlexRay / Ethernet.
- Basic programming or scripting knowledge: C, Python, CAPL, MATLAB, or similar.
Responsibilities
- Set up and maintain HIL benches for SDV/ECU validation.
- Support flashing and integration of ECUs and rest-bus simulations.
- Troubleshoot HIL hardware, wiring, and communication issues.
- Assist in CI test execution and log defects in JIRA with clear steps.
