Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of highway design/transportation engineering experience.
- EIT or PE license in New Jersey preferred or obtainable soon.
- Proficiency with CAD tools for roadway design (MicroStation InRoads/OpenRoads, AutoCAD Civil3D).
Responsibilities
- Highway and roadway design including alignments, profiles, sections, and safety improvements per NJTA/NJDOT/AASHTO standards.
- Coordinate with project managers, clients, and multidisciplinary teams to meet objectives and budgets.
- Evaluate roadways for safety improvements and manage traffic during construction (MPT, signage, striping).
- Ensure designs comply with NJTA, NJDOT, AASHTO and local regulations.
- Prepare technical reports, CAD plans, specifications, and cost estimates per NJ standards.
